Anganette Young is a multi-talented health care professional, educator and life coach. She has over 32 years of health care experience. Ms. Young is the former CEO of New Hanover Community Health Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. She has a diverse professional vita that ranges from educator, executive managerial roles for nonprofits to serving in leadership roles with the American Red Cross, Texas Association of Community Health Centers, North Carolina Community Health Centers Association, Blue Triangle Multicultural Association and the National Association of Health Service Executives, Houston Chapter.
An innovative business woman and passionate health care professional, Ms. Young has made a tremendous impact on health care service delivery to the medically underserved and continues to make contributions to help the less fortunate. Her love for people and energetic approach to life has set her apart from many. Anganette stated that one of her most cherished moments was being selected as the 2012 Fall Commencement Speaker for the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
Anganette Young is a distinguished alumnus of Clark College. She earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. She serves on local, state and national boards.
