Dr. Chanel Young-Pope

Professional Profile

Initially accepting her call to ministry in February 2010, Dr. Chanel Young-Pope has served as a licensed Minister and Women’s Ministry Coordinator, preacher and teacher in various ministry conferences, luncheons, and work-shops, and she currently serves as an Ordained Elder and Sunday School Instructor at New Creation Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Bishop David M. Copeland and Reverend Dr. Claudette Anderson-Copeland of San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Young-Pope holds a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University’s Professional School of Psychology, an en passant Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, and a second Master’s Degree in Community Clinical Psychology from her first alma mater; the historically Black College/University (HBCU); Norfolk State University. She is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the State of Texas and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in the state of Virginia. Dr. Young-Pope is a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a former United States Army Officer; having combined service in both branches totaling 24 years of military expertise.
